Free BSD is one of the oldest open source project, yet standing and evolving. Maybe the fork helped them face conflicts :P . Now a new version emerged, the 7.3 release.

Find more on the release announcement page.

Longene version 0.3

“Longene is a free, open-source computer operating system kernel project intended to expand the Linux Kernel to be binary-compatible with application software and device drivers not only made for Microsoft Windows but also made for Linux OS. This will enable the Windows application running on the Linux operating system highly effectively.” – from here.

This project is really cool. I’ve seen Internet Explorer 6, Adobe Photoshop CS 2 and Starcraft running on it. So it promises a lot.

Try it by downloading it here.
